Here in Rome may is the month when you start sleeping with the windows open (at night i mean, but you can keep them open and sleep also during the day if you are tired or want to rest). And one night in may 2022 there was this blackbird that started to sing at 4 in the morning with no other sound around (and he woke me up and I couldn’t fall asleep again) so I thought: lets do something useful about it. I have recorded it and imagined some sort of conversation between him singing and me answering with a sinthesizer. Than Steve came to Rome, we happened to cross each others streets and I asked if he would be interested in recording his version of this call and response.
Here you have our two conversations with a Turdus Merula: A side is Cristiano Carosi on Crumar DS2 synthesiser and on side B is Steve Baczkowski on saxophone.
